January 2, Permission to Be Ordinary

January 2 doesn’t ask much of you.

The celebration has passed.

The declarations quiet down.

And ordinary life starts to peek back in.

This is the day that doesn’t get talked about — the day without symbolism or ceremony. Just a return to familiar rhythms.

You don’t need to feel inspired today.

You don’t need clarity or momentum.

You don’t need to know where the year is going.

If today looks simple, let it be simple.

If it feels unremarkable, that’s okay.

Ordinary days are where most life actually happens.

And permission to be ordinary is sometimes the kindest thing you can give yourself.
